Beatriz Castañeda

Assistant Facilitator

Beatriz is a elementary school teacher, with experience in multilevels. She facilitates the program in the groups she assists. Beatriz is also working towards a degree in administration in education. She shows great commitment to the program and has been a fast learner. 

Wendy Sactic

Senior Facilitator

Wendy is a mother and elementary school teacher. She facilitates the program in the groups she oversees. Wendy also manages the anthropometric measurements and cognitive evaluation of the children in the program.

Isabel Garcés

Executive Director

Isabel has a Masters in Research and in Psychology. She has been conducting research and teaching at university level for more than 15 years. Isabel manages and plans the program's pedagogic curriculum, trains teachers, and supervises overall the program. 

Florinda Pantzay ​

​Facilitator

Florinda has a degree in Childhood Intercultural Education, is a middle school teacher, and has studies in school administration. Flori is a facilitator with groups under her management. She learns quickly, has been a great addition to the team, and supports cognitive and physical measurements too. 

Magdalena Choxin

Supervisor

Magda is an elementary school teacher and finished her studies in Psychology at Mariano University in Guatemala city. Magda supervises the groups and facilitates the program. She continues to oversee some groups and is a great support for the facilitators team. 

Johanna Berninger

Founder

Johanna has a Masters in Psychology and has been a teacher at the preschool and elementary level.  Her experience is also in counseling at schools and in talent acquisition.  Johanna oversees all operations and has been supporting nonprofit work in Guatemala for more than 20 years.

Cristian Alvarez

Accountant and Administrator

Cristian has a degree in Accounting, a degree in Auditing from Universidad Rafael Landivar and MBA from Incae. He has extensive experience with multiple organizations. Cristian is overseeing all accounting and financial aspects of the program. We are lucky to continue having him as part of our team.

Liliana Raxón

​Assistant Facilitator

Liliana is a preschool teacher and a graduate mother from our program. She and her children joined Idea Global in one of our first groups. She has experience teaching at various preschools and volunteered in the alphabetization for the adults' program of the government. We are proud to have her now as part of our team.
